Tourist visa requirements for India:
- Original passport (must be valid for at least 6 months after exit from India).
- 2 colour passport photos on a white background
- 1 completed Indian visa application form (available from this website).
Business visa requirements for India:
- All of the documents required for the tourist visa PLUS
- An Invitation letter from the Indian company and a letter from the UK employer confirming employment status and outlining the putpose of the visit to India.
Holders of non UK visas requirements:
- All of the documents required for the tourist visa PLUS
- A utility bill that must be more than ONE YEAR old with applicants name clearly shown on it.

Important:
All applications must be sent by ROYAL MAIL SPECIAL DELIVERY. A prepaid ROYAL MAIL SPECIAL DELIVERY envelope must be included for return of passports. Please ensure you make a note of the special delivery tracking reference number of both the posting envelope and the return prepaid envelope.

Where the validity of passports expires before the duration of long-term (five-year) visas, it is possible to have the unexpired portion of the visas transferred to the new passports. Please use this form to make the transfer applications.
